I've been fortunate enough that the book has garnered some fantastic early reviews. I'm particularly pleased with what Kirkus said about my characters and monsters. Oh, and remember, monsters are characters too.
When I first started writing, I never imagined my work would garner compliments for the characterization. I guess my critique group's criticism of my lackluster characterization over the years paid off.
If you haven't read the first two books in The Allison Lee Chronicles, never fear. You can pick up The Wrath of Monsters and treat it like a standalone (I think it's my best work to date, BTW). You don't have to take my word for that, either. Just look at what Midwest Book Review said.
