Howdy,
A bright light flares on the writing front, making the year a whisker more tolerable. My story Skin Deep appears in the print edition of The Horror Zine Fall 2020 issue this month. I think it will popup on the zine's website in January. Like most writers with big dreams, I always get a thrill when one of my stories appears somewhere.
Although the story appears in The Horror Zine, I don't know that I'd classify it as a horror per se. It's more of a Twilight Zone-style sci-fi. Incidentally, it's one of the first short stories, maybe the first short story, that I wrote–probably back in 2014 or 2015. I can't tell you how many times it's been rejected and rewritten. I guess it just proves that mulish persistence and taking long breaks between rewrites can pay off in the end.
Anyway, in this time of global contagion, stay safe, and keep on writing; it's an easy way to social distance.
